Arrest made in North Carolina triple homicide

Marriage is not easy. Many couples who love each other very much often struggle to have a successful marriage. In some cases, a relationship can suffer from the extra stress of mental illness. Unfortunately, a North Carolina woman, whose family members claim could be mentally ill, has recently been arrested in a triple homicide. One of the victims is said to be her husband.

According to reports, the 42-year-old woman allegedly discovered her husband in bed with two other people. Police say that she shot all three people and removed one of the bodies, a 33-year-old woman, to the outside of the house. Reports indicate that police were notified about the incident from one of the woman's family members.

According to her brother-in-law, the woman told family members that she found her husband with another woman. He also said that the woman reported that she had disposed of the bodies and collected the bullet casings, but he added that the woman is mentally unstable and has a history of lying. However, police say that they discovered the bodies once they arrived at the house. She has since been charged with first degree murder.

It is unclear if the woman indeed has some sort of mental illness that could have caused her to act in the manner in which she is accused. If she is mentally ill, it is possible that she simply discovered the bodies and misconstrued the events. As a result of the homicide allegations, the North Carolina woman may require a mental evaluation. In a complicated case such as this, an experienced criminal defense attorney may be able to help ensure that she receives a proper mental evaluation and lawful treatment as the criminal case proceeds.
